“Promoting the sport of fishing, as well as conservation of the fisheries anglers enjoy is one of the primary goals of our company,” said Sean Hatherley, senior vice president of sales – Americas, Navico. “TrophyCatch is a fun and exciting way to encourage anglers to get involved in a responsible way. We are proud to support this and many other programs like it.”

“Adding a little healthy competition to bass fishing while allowing the anglers who fish in our state to submit vital data on the health of the local fisheries is integral to our success,” said KP Clements, director, TrophyCatch. “We are grateful to all of our supporters and sponsors like Lowrance for making this program flourish.”

The goal of this program is to collect information about trophy bass to help the FWC better enhance, conserve and promote trophy bass fishing. It encourages catch-and-release of the biggest, oldest and most valuable bass. The program excites anglers about Florida freshwater fishing, encouraging them to purchase licenses and fish more; resulting in benefits to all anglers, fishing-related businesses, local communities and the fisheries themselves with more support and funding for conservation.
