Save the Date - Sunday July 17th 2016

Just a 'heads up' to the email list before we put this live on the website at http://roundrockallrace.com we've picked the date of Sunday July 17th for the start of the second edition of the Round Rockall Race. We didn't want to clash with the Round Ireland Race (June '16) or the AZAB (Summer 2015) so we think Sunday 17th July 2016 fits the bill. (And it means you'll be in Galway to enjoy the legendary atmosphere of the Galway International Arts Festival!) We'll make the announcement on the news page of the website (http://roundrockallrace.com/news/index.html) and on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/roundrockallrace) in the coming days but we wanted to let you know first.

We've had discussions recently with Galway Bay Sailing Club and the Port of Galway about the race organisation and things are coming together nicely. Next order of business is to get the NOR published and the online entry form live, that will happen in the coming weeks. Thank you all for your interest - we look forward to seeing you in Galway this Summer.

About the race

The second Round Rockall Race will take place in July 2016. The 650 nautical mile race is open to boats over 30' LOA that comply with ISAF Offshore Special Regulations Category 1 sailing single handed, two handed or fully crewed.
